I spent a large amount of time today bouncing around from thought to thought. I’ve always had a hard time remaining focused, I get one idea in my head and pursue it until another one comes and I’m off following this tangent. This is a major fear of mine. I need to remain focused if I’m going to set off on this journey of freelance writing.
I want to make sure that I’m setting myself up for success because I have felt as though I’ve been set up for failure in the past. I have no one to blame if this doesn’t work out. So setting myself for success means discipline. Tomorrow (today) starts a new outlook. I have goals and I have to have a game plan to meet those goals.
Step One: Research
– I feel like a fish out of water, I like to go into every endeavor knowing as much as possible. So I will be doing research about what I should expect and what I need to know. I have my materials and I’m ready to tackle this next move.
Sometimes I feel as though I’m writing into a void – but if you’re out there, reader, let me know what steps you take when embarking on a new endeavor.
